Casey Dentists – Booking Deposit & Cancellation Policy

Booking Deposits

At Casey Dentists, we are committed to providing timely, high-quality dental care for all our patients. To help us manage appointment availability and minimise missed appointments, a booking deposit is required for all appointments.

Payment of Booking Deposit

A booking deposit must be paid:

  • At the time your appointment is made; or
  • By the close of business on the same business day that the appointment is requested.

If the required deposit is not received within this timeframe, Casey Dentists reserves the right to cancel or release the appointment for another patient.

Application of Your Deposit

Your booking deposit may be:

  • Applied towards the cost of your dental treatment at your appointment; or
  • Held on your account for a future appointment where applicable under this policy.

Changes to Your Appointment

We understand that circumstances can change. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we ask that you provide at least 24 hours’ notice.

Cancellations or Rescheduling with More Than 24 Hours’ Notice

If you provide more than 24 hours’ notice:

  • Your booking deposit is fully refundable upon request; or
  • Your deposit can be transferred to your new appointment if you choose to reschedule.

Late Cancellations or Failure to Attend

If you:

  • Cancel or reschedule your appointment within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment time; or
  • Do not attend your appointment without notice (a “No Show”),

a $50 late cancellation/no-show fee will apply.

Your booking deposit will be retained and applied towards this $50 fee. If your deposit exceeds the fee, any remaining balance will stay on your account to be applied towards future treatment or refunded upon request. If your deposit is less than $50, the remaining balance of the fee will be payable.

Why We Require Deposits

Appointment times are reserved exclusively for you. Late cancellations and missed appointments often prevent us from offering that time to other patients who require dental care. Our booking deposit policy helps offset the administrative and operational costs associated with reserved appointments that cannot be filled at short notice.

Australian Consumer Law

This policy is intended to comply with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) by ensuring our booking deposit and cancellation arrangements are fair, transparent, and clearly communicated before an appointment is confirmed.

Nothing in this policy excludes or limits any rights or remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable legislation.

By booking an appointment with Casey Dentists and paying the required booking deposit, you acknowledge that you have read and accepted this Booking Deposit & Cancellation Policy.
